These terms cover your use of the Coil app. Using the app means you accept them.
Coil is a hair routine tracker for anyone with curly, coily or wavy hair, at any length. It helps you plan a routine, log what you did, and see how your curls respond over time.
Coil is not medical advice. The scores, readings and suggestions in the app are cosmetic guidance about hair and scalp appearance. They are not a diagnosis and not a treatment plan. If something on your scalp worries you, see a doctor or a dermatologist rather than an app.
You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not use Coil if you are under 13.
Coil Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store.
Coil Pro is offered as a weekly plan and a yearly plan. The price shown in the app at the moment you subscribe is the price you pay, in your local currency.
There is no free trial. Your Apple ID is charged when you confirm the purchase.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
You manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings, not inside Coil. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Coil Pro is sold through the App Store, so Apple's standard Terms of Use (EULA) apply to it as well: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. Request one through Apple's "Report a Problem" page. We cannot issue refunds directly.
Your photos, notes and check-ins stay yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the app: to store your content, show it back to you, and send photos you choose to scan to OpenAI for analysis. We do not use your content for anything else and we do not sell it.
Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, and do not use it to upload anything unlawful or anything that is not yours to upload.
