• Grows well under shade in moist places. It is a ornamental ground cover.
• Used to heal swelling, treatment of urinary tract infection and respiratory tract infections, diarrhea, enteritis, and hemorrhoids. Also in fever, malaria, insect, bug bites, rheumatoid arthritis, gonorrhea, influenza, and bladder infections.
• Pollinated by bees and wasps.
