Aura is in a very competitive market, and you compete amongst a wide variety of (related) categories, because you’re an all-in-one solution, which I see as a benefit because it’s a lot more cost effective. But during my research, I noticed some Redditors saying it’s a con because you don’t “specialize” in any one solution, and so, you’re not as good as others that do.

According to Semrush, Norton and McAfee are the top competitors in SERPs, unsurprisingly. What I thought was interesting though is that Incogni has fewer keywords yet more traffic than Keeper, which has more keywords.

All of your DAs are pretty similar — the top DA (Norton) is 90, while Aura’s is 78. Not a huge difference.

You’re not just competing against products though. You’re also competing against affiliate blogs, like allaboutcookies.org and security.org, which sucks because you have to pay to be on these sites, and they’re featuring all of your competitors.

Fortunately, these sites have become less trustworthy not only to Google but also to users. We could do these reviews 1000x better.

Aura is also competing against Reddit and other industry forum posts, depending on the search query, which is why it’s pertinent to be active and useful on these sites for key discussions.

Social media

Social media is just as important, if not more important (for at least TOF), than SEO, because this is where most people, especially say, moms, in your target audience are hanging out, and many are not directly searching for your product.

The good news is that all of your competitors are bad at social. The bad news is DeleteMe is already privy to the importance of social, in particular, IG, as they’re collaborating with big influencers already. The content is albeit a bit spammy and overly promotional though.

There is a BIG opportunity in social media here.

Social is also important because IG, TikTok, posts from niche FB Groups and YouTube videos are all increasingly taking over front page of Google results for certain searches.

Much of this social content is shown for timely issues, which is why we need to be on top of timely news, eg: data breaches and scams that happen in real time.
