About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Compliance Officer to manage day-to-day compliance operations across our U.S. sweepstakes casino business.
This is a mid-to-senior individual contributor role for someone who understands how player compliance processes work in practice — not only at policy or regulatory level. You will review and resolve player cases, maintain effective controls throughout the player lifecycle, and work closely with Risk & Fraud, Payments, Customer Support, CRM, Marketing, Product, and Legal.
You will be expected to identify compliance risks, raise flags at the right time, coordinate investigations, and drive cases through to a clear and properly documented decision.
The ideal candidate has direct operational experience in iGaming, online casino, social casino, or sweepstakes and can explain in detail how they have handled KYC, transaction monitoring, player risk, redemptions, multi-accounting, responsible gaming, and promotional compliance.
What You’ll Do
Player Compliance Operations
- Manage day-to-day compliance checks and escalations across the player lifecycle, including onboarding, identity verification, purchases, gameplay, redemptions, account reviews, complaints, and account closure.
- Review KYC cases, including identity or data mismatches, failed verification, duplicate identities, document concerns, age or location restrictions, and other risk indicators.
- Investigate unusual purchasing and redemption activity, possible multi-accounting, bonus abuse, fraud patterns, and other suspicious player behaviour.
- Determine the appropriate operational response based on the available evidence, internal procedures, and level of risk.
- Coordinate enhanced due diligence or requests for additional player information where required.
- Apply or recommend appropriate measures, including account restrictions, payment or redemption holds, further investigation, escalation, approval, or account closure.
- Maintain clear case notes, decision rationales, supporting evidence, and audit trails.
- Escalate material, unusual, or high-risk cases to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
Monitoring and Process Management
- Monitor operational compliance queues, outstanding cases, escalations, and service levels on a daily basis.
- Conduct regular reviews of case outcomes, recurring player-risk patterns, control gaps, and operational trends.
- Ensure that compliance procedures and escalation paths are followed consistently by internal teams and outsourced service providers.
- Help improve compliance workflows, controls, SOPs, investigation templates, and decision-making frameworks.
