Mounting Concept:

• Variable adapter ring for multiple barrel diameters
• Twist-lock interface
• It must not:
  • Block barrel
  • Create pressure
  • Interfere with cycling or prop usage

Size Variants:

Requirements states the design must be compact enough to fit on handguns. Choosing a uniform size based off handguns risks the product being disproportionate on other firearms, or risks an unrealistic mounting base. For cinematic expectation of perceived visual mass, two sizes of the flash unit will be designed:

1. A compact version for smaller handguns, and
2. A longer, more robust version for larger firearms

Thermal Management:

• Aluminum housing as heat spreader
• Light source mounted on aluminum MCPCB
• Direct contact to housing

• Single high-power COB
• Multiple LEDs

To mimic realistic flash pattern, movement, and color spectrum, multiple warm-colored, high-power LEDs will be used and programmed in the design.
