Everything above is just a wiki until each person's Claude can read it. This page is how that happens, and how you know you are reading current data.

Part 1: connect your Claude to this workspace

Each person does this once, on their own account. There is no shared connection.

In Claude (web or desktop): open Settings, go to Connectors, find Notion, and click Connect. You will get a Notion OAuth screen asking which pages to share. Approve it.

In Claude Code: run /mcp and follow the OAuth flow.

That is the whole setup. Two minutes.

Test that it worked

Ask your Claude:

Search my Notion for the Marketing Team OS. What was the outcome of the B2B organic TikTok experiment?

If it comes back with the $6,800 and zero demos, you are connected. If it tells you it cannot find anything, the permission grant did not include this page. Redo the OAuth step and make sure the Marketing Team OS page is selected.

Part 2: permissions, and what people can actually see

This is the part teams get wrong.

The connector inherits your existing Notion permissions. It does not grant new access. If Sam cannot open the Goals database in Notion, Sam's Claude cannot read it either. That is the correct behavior and it means you manage access in one place.

What that implies in practice:

If you want Do this in Notion
The whole team to use the skills Give everyone at least read access to Marketing Context, Playbooks, Experiments, and Brand Rules
Salary or budget detail kept private Put it on a separate page outside this tree, not a hidden toggle inside it
Contractors to help without seeing everything Share the specific databases they need, not the parent page

On Enterprise plans, a workspace owner can go to Settings, then Connections, then the Permissions tab, and restrict which AI apps members are allowed to connect at all. Worth knowing if legal asks.

Part 3: how do you know you are on the latest version
