This page is the HOW: propose, write, submit. For everything about this round (what we're looking for, what launch contributors get, fee, cook-along, deadlines), see Open Call: Grain. New to the project? Start at the Vault.

Have you developed an exercise, a workshop, or a way of teaching with or about AI that belongs in front of more educators than the ones in your room? We'd love to include it in Grain.
About Grain - Recipes for Critical AI Literacy in Audiovisual & Creative Education
Grain is a cookbook of critical and creative AI literacy exercises for educators in film and the wider audiovisual & creative field, co-produced by AIxDESIGN and Netherlands Film Academy. It's for film educators, workshop facilitators, and anyone teaching creative practice in the middle of all of this. Recipes can be hands-on, analog, weird, serious, playful, short, long. What they share is that they help people think critically and make creatively with AI, together.

Proposals welcome through end of August 2026; accepted recipes are due in full by end of September. We reply on a rolling basis.
Prefer to cook live? Join our 30-min session on Wed 12 Aug, 16:00 CEST at luma.com/84w148in.
Fill in the proposal form: who you are, what the exercise is, where you've run it, and whether you're requesting the fee. A short pitch is enough. Already have a full draft? Link it in the form.
