Lineup: Protagonist on the left, Damon in the middle, Hunter on the right.

Protagonist

An unnamed young Senior Systems Auditor: capable, observant and initially unaware of the regime's full cruelty. Lean build, short layered black hair and a youthful clean-shaven face. Before the time jump he has no eyewear and wears a pale short technical jacket, graphite inner clothes and restrained cyan details.

Hair anchor — 01 — PERFECT LIFE: The user identifies the first story page as the definitive hairstyle reference. Keep a compact, naturally layered short-black silhouette, with modest crown volume and neat temple/nape mass. Build the hair from broad, cohesive overlapping dark locks and a softly side-swept fringe, with only a few loose tips. Use charcoal-black masses, subdued broad highlights and restrained environmental rim light. Avoid increasingly fine, tangled or curled individual strands, inflated spiky volume and orange outlines tracing every strand. Maintain this haircut in all angles, emotional states, rain and action scenes; preserve the protagonist's face and acting when correcting hair.

After two years on Inner, he has earned project, team and sign-off responsibility—not a new clerical or military career. Use the approved dark slate-blue/cyan formal short jacket, silver chest pin and no lanyard. Keep his young face. Outer uses practical field clothing. For the TWO YEARS LATER panel, the user now requests advanced resistance equipment: a small transparent mono-lens over the protagonist's right eye, a long laser rifle and similarly capable technical equipment for his teammates. The user selected option A's equipment and elevated industrial vantage combined with option C's active team-command staging. Keep an attractive but simplified route hologram, and show teammates executing the order “Sweep the upper level. Stay linked.” These post-jump elements are now integrated into a full-page 04-O image for review; panel 6 retains the same mono-lens and practical equipment. His exceptional competence should show through perception, precision and leadership, with equipment supporting his actions; the regime retains greater overall strength.

His innate motion perception/influence becomes substantially stronger after Hunter's single device activation releases suppression and masks the installed node. Forceful braking, redirection and committed counters cost attention and endurance; he cannot stop time, read minds, heal or use spatial portals. Expressions must communicate concern, surprise, anger, pain and resolve rather than repeated rear views.

Damon

The protagonist's friend and colleague, who investigated the Civic Reassignment Order's original authorization. Tousled short brown hair, forehead goggles, sturdier build and related pale technical workwear. His earlier concern focuses on the order's human consequences.

His trail leads to the Municipal Archive Center / Annex B. The regime's order causes his death in both Chapter 04 routes: the protagonist executes him in the accepted Inner variant; authorities execute him after refusal in Outer. He dies before the Outer rescue and never escapes with the protagonist. Exact capture details remain unresolved.

Hunter Lawrence

Middle-aged mentor and wanted researcher figure; swept gray-black hair, rectangular glasses, short beard and pale long coat. Calm, capable, and an old friend of the corporate executive. Spatial concealment/linking and the hidden room belong to him, not the protagonist.

After 03-B he confronts the ruler behind the local regime elsewhere. He does not join the Outer rescue or resolve the local boss fights. He returns afterward; that larger confrontation remains unresolved. A former research-leader background is a proposal, not a confirmed origin story.

Continuity

Chapter 04 has four images; only 04-O is pending. Retention precedes earned growth over two years. Inner and Outer are alternative histories. Preserve expressive faces, two-column/three-row portrait comics and concise English dialogue; use narration only when useful.
