Covéra is designed to help users review screenshots, photos, and document images for common private information before saving or sharing them.
This page explains how Covéra handles privacy, how the app may be used, and the important limitations of automated detection and redaction.

For purposes of this policy, “Covéra,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Covéra app and its developer.
Covéra is designed as a privacy assistance tool with local processing as a core principle.
The current version of Covéra processes selected images on your device. Detection, OCR-based analysis, review, privacy marking, and redaction rendering are designed to happen locally.
Your original images, document contents, OCR text, detection results, redaction boxes, and exported images are not uploaded to Covéra company servers for image processing.
Covéra only works with images that you choose to open, import, or process in the app.
Covéra does not scan your entire photo library in the background. The app does not automatically review images you have not selected.
Depending on your device settings and the permissions you grant, Covéra may access selected photos or image files only for the purpose of allowing you to review, redact, save, or export them.
The current version of Covéra does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide personal account information.
