Anyone on MESH can create a league. One thing that's different from other platforms: creating a league doesn't automatically enter you in it. You can join with one of your squads (you'll pick which one if you have multiple), or run it commissioner-only as a host for your community.
Greek life orgs: we have special promo offers for leagues that raise money for philanthropy. Read Brand Partnerships & Philanthropy or email [email protected].
League settings
- League name — editable anytime in the League tab
- League size — 6 to 16 squads, even numbers only
- Minimum squad size — optionally require squads to have a minimum number of members (5+, 10+, or none)
- Scoring format — Standard, Half PPR, or Full PPR (full tables in Scoring Formats)
- Privacy — leagues are private by default: you need the invite link or code to join, no randoms. Public leagues can be found by anyone through league search — the join (+) button, or the searchable leagues button on the home page.
This season, league formats are standardized (more customization is coming):
- Draft: 16-round snake draft
- Roster: 9 starters (QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX, DST, K), 7 bench, 1 IR — 16 total spots plus IR
- Playoffs: we suggest top 6, running weeks 15–17
Set your draft date and time
This is the most important setting.
- If you change the draft date/time, squad members get an in-app notification — but send it in the group chat too.
- Drafts will not run unless the league is full. Fill it up — invite squads with the shareable link or code. You can bypass this as well and have empty teams if you wish, but they might not qualify for challenges to prevent users from gaming the system to unlock items.
- Draft order: manually set it or randomize it in the Draft Settings tab on the league home page.
Commissioner basics
- Add a co-commissioner in the League Rules tab — they get all the same abilities. If you're ever leaving the league or handing it off, add one first.
- Commissioners run the draft — see The Draft.
