Purpose

Dashboards are the “product surface” of the project: they translate BigQuery marts (dbt output) into clear insights, fast exploration, and decision-ready KPIs.

Data contract

Power BI connects only to analytics-ready marts (not raw tables):

• Library mart: mart_library
• Listening mart: fact_listening (or equivalent listening mart)
• Optional dimensions:
  • genre_lookup for consistent genre hierarchy

Rule: raw/staging are never used directly in dashboards (prevents inconsistent metrics).

Dashboard 1 — 🎼 Library Analytics (Power BI)

Goal

Give a complete overview of the saved library: size, composition, genres, and searchability.

• Total tracks / unique artists / unique albums
• Top artists / albums
• Genre distribution (top 10 + “Other”)
• Spotify match rate (% tracks enriched) (Out scope)
