Privacy Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

Dual Cam is designed with one principle: your videos stay on your device. The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data — not to us, not to third parties, and not to anyone.

We collect no personal data. No analytics. No crash reporting. No accounts. No servers.

What the app does

Dual Cam uses your device camera to record video and automatically exports two versions of each recording — a 9:16 portrait crop and a 16:9 landscape crop — in a single take. Face tracking runs entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework to position the portrait crop. All processing happens locally on your iPhone.

Camera and microphone

Dual Cam accesses your camera and microphone solely to record video. This data is never transmitted anywhere. Recordings are stored locally on your device in the app's temporary directory until you choose to save them to your Photos library or discard them.

Photos library

When you tap Save in the review screen, Dual Cam requests permission to add videos to your Photos library. The app uses add-only access — it cannot read your existing photos or videos. Saving is always your explicit choice; nothing is saved without your tap.

In-app library

The app maintains a local library of your recordings on your device. These files are stored in the app's private directory and are not backed up to iCloud unless you have iCloud backup enabled for the app in iOS Settings. They are never uploaded to any external service.

Temporary files

Dual Cam creates temporary files during recording and export. These are cleaned up automatically — any temp file older than one hour is deleted when you open the app.

No third-party SDKs

The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking libraries. It uses only Apple's native frameworks.

Children's privacy

Dual Cam does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. There is nothing to collect.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new effective date. We will not add data collection without clearly disclosing it here first.
