Note: stick to the arrival and departure windows below so we can run one airport shuttle for the whole group. Anyone booking outside these timings arranges their own transfer.

Same airport in and out, and the base is about twenty minutes from HKT. This is the easiest logistics of any OJ international trip.
Getting in. Fly into Phuket HKT. From most Indian cities that is one stop through Bangkok, or through Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. Seasonal direct flights from India to Phuket do exist in the December window, and when they are running we flag them in your flight plan.
Watch the Bangkok connection. If you route through Bangkok, note that some itineraries land at Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and depart from Don Mueang (DMK). Those are two different airports about an hour apart. Give yourself real buffer, or book a routing that stays in one terminal.
Try to land on the morning of Dec 17. Day 1 evening is Old Phuket Town, and it is one of only two free evenings on the whole trip, because EDC locks out Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Indian ordinary passport holders are on Thailand's visa exemption list. You are stamped in on arrival, currently for 60 days. No fee, no application, no agent, no visa on arrival counter. You are exempt, which is a different and better thing than visa on arrival.
(A cut from 60 days to 30 days per entry has been approved but is not yet in the Royal Gazette. Either number covers a six day trip, so it does not affect you.)
