- Elliot grew up without a present family; his father, Locke, was extremely focused on ice hockey and pushed Elliot and his twin brother, Lucian, to follow in his steps and play ice hockey, but only Elliot found passion for hockey and Lucian rebelled. His mother, Rosalie, loved her kids a lot, but was too busy focusing on her perfume company. Elliot remembers her at her computer, typing something away or spending time with Lucian.
- His parents were role models for how one should follow their dreams, not express emotions, and focus solely on getting what they want, not allowing anything to get in their way.
