Echo ("the app") is a research tool that lets you enter a topic and receive a summary of recent online discussion about it. This policy describes what information the app handles, and what it does not.
When you submit a research topic, the app sends the topic text to our backend so we can produce a summary. To make the app responsive and avoid wasteful re-runs, we keep a record of submitted topics and their resulting summaries in our database. Specifically:
This record is anonymous: it is not linked to your name, your device, your IP address, or any other identifier. Two different people who type the same topic share the same cached summary.
We retain these records as part of normal database operation. We do not use them for profiling, marketing, or any purpose other than serving research summaries.
