Get yourself set up, prepare a Playlab space, and help your students start building. You do not need to be an AI expert to get started.

Your path to a ready-to-use classroom

1. Attend an Intro to Playlab Workshop

New to Playlab? Start with a free, 75-minute Intro to Playlab Workshop. You’ll explore the platform, build your first AI app, and learn how to share what you create.

Already attended? Move on to confirming your access below.

2. Confirm your Playlab access

Your account is your login. Your organization is the school or program you belong to. A space is the home for a particular class, club, or student group, with its own members, apps, and activity.

  1. Open the Playlab invitation provided by your school, program, or workshop team. Create your account, or log in if you already have one.
  2. Confirm you are in the organization where your students will work.
  3. Open Spaces in the sidebar and look for New space.

Have an account, but can’t create a space?

Creating apps and creating spaces require different permissions. Ask your school’s Playlab administrator to confirm your access. If you joined through Public Learning or aren’t sure whom to ask, email [email protected] with your school/program, the email you use for Playlab, and that you need to set up a student-building space. An Intro Workshop account alone does not confirm that space-creation permissions are enabled.

  2. Give it a recognizable name, such as Lincoln HS · AI Challenge · Period 3, and add a short description.

  4. Click Create new Space.
