About the Role

TL;DR: Highscore is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to own PCB design, rack design, and manufacturing - the hardware backbone of our cloud gaming platform.

Highscore designs and builds its own rack system. We have many custom PCBAs - including an in-house KVM, KVM controller, out-of-band management device, smart plugs, M.2 connectors, PCIe connectors, a SATA backplane, and more. Together these boards form the foundation of a proprietary infrastructure stack that powers the entire Highscore experience.

This hardware engineering role will own PCB + rack engineering - you’ll be our go-to person for everything from schematic capture to manufacturer coordination to (working jointly with our software team) firmware bring-up.

In your first 12 months at Highscore, you’ll help ship our v3 rack system + supporting PCBs, design the next-gen of our core servers, and develop several new server types + consumer hardware devices.

You’re excited by the idea of getting in early at a fast-growing startup and helping to shape the company’s hardware vision, product, and culture. You’re a generalist at heart - the kind of engineer who’d rather learn something new than hand it off. You want to own an entire domain and see your boards go from design to production to deployment.

This role is in-person based in Highscore’s SF office (Market St.).
