ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical system of the world's most advanced powered exoskeleton, worn by soldiers in active combat. You will work with a talented team of accomplished engineers to design and bring up the boards that drive the actuators, manage power, and carry every sensor on the device. You should thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you adapt quickly and love to solve hard problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and bring up PCBs from schematic to working hardware
- Own the power system end to end: battery, BMS, the 48V bus, protection, and the harness
- Integrate the motor drives and take the electrical side of actuator performance
- Own the sensor stack: inertial sensors, foot pressure, and motor encoders
- Design for a device carried on a person all day, in dust, water, and cold, with parts that swap in the field
- Work directly with mechanical and firmware to close the loop between power, control, and structure
- Support field testing and turn failures in the field into changes to the boards
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline
- 4+ years designing and bringing up boards that shipped and were used in the field
- Experience with power and motor drive electronics for robots or similar electromechanical systems
- Lithium battery and BMS design experience
