🔍 Project Context

A simulated administrative scenario for a remote-first SaaS company (Verra Solutions) operating across 6 countries, hiring 2–3 new employees every quarter. Without a centralized onboarding system, the process relied entirely on informal coordination between HR, IT, and department managers — resulting in repeated coordination failures with every new hire.

❓ The Problem

• No documented onboarding process or SOP
• IT access setup delayed 2–3 days post start date
• Department managers notified only on Day 1 — no time to prepare
• New hires arrived confused and unprepared on Day 1
• Process repeated from scratch with every single hire

⚙️ The Process

Designed a structured, repeatable onboarding coordination system built around 3 core principles:

• Advance coordination — eliminate last-minute delays and tool access failures
• Parallel communication — contact HR, IT, and direct manager simultaneously, not sequentially
• Full documentation — process is transferable and not dependent on any one person
