CCU Work Permit Guide

For International Students, Overseas Chinese Students, Hong Kong & Macau Students

1. What is a Work Permit?

International students who want to work or do an internship in Taiwan, either on campus or off campus, must apply for and receive a work permit before starting work.

Working without a valid work permit may result in a fine from NT$30,000 to NT$150,000, and serious cases may lead to deportation.

2. Who Needs to Apply?

You need to apply for a work permit if you are:

• An international student
• An overseas Chinese student
• A Hong Kong or Macau student
• Planning to work part-time
• Planning to do an internship
• Working on campus or off campus

3. Online Application System

All work permit applications must be completed online through the official work permit application system.
