Service providers should be reminded that they must use reasonable endeavours to ensure that End Users do not use the service:

• to generate mobile terminating access or SMS message terminating access payments (eg. by using SIM boxing);
• to transit, refile or aggregate domestic or international traffic on the mobile network;
• as a call collection service and/or call redirection to call centres, call sinks or mass termination services;
• in such a way that use of the service is automatically generated by a device controlled by software and/or hardware;
• with devices that switch or reroute calls to ot from Telstra’s network or any third party with Telstra’s consent.

If the Service Provider or any End User does not comply with those obligations:

• the Service Provider must take action to immediately suspend that End User’s service, and
• whether or not the Service Provider does suspend the End User’s service, Telstra may suspend, limit or terminate the End User’s service (or any feature of it) by giving the Service Provider 48 hours notice,and/or notify the Service Provider that additional charges will apply on a pay-as-you-go basis (as set out in the notice) for the relevant prohibited use of the service.
