1. The short version

Farro is a meal planner that works entirely on your phone.

There is no account, no login, and no Farro server. Your weeks, your recipes, your shopping lists and your settings are written to a database inside the app on your own device. We cannot read them, we do not have a copy of them, and they are not uploaded anywhere — with one narrow exception, named in point 1 below.

Three things do leave your device, and they are the only three:

  1. Anonymous usage and crash data, sent to Google (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics). This includes, in one specific case, the name of a dish you typed that Farro had no suggestion for (§4.1) — the only thing you write that is ever sent.
  2. Your subscription status, handled by RevenueCat together with the App Store or Google Play, if you buy Farro Pro.
  3. The recipe page you asked us to open, when you paste or share a link into Farro.

Each of these is described in full below. Farro contains no advertising, no advertising SDK, and no cross-app tracking. We do not sell your data, and we have no data about you to sell.

2. Who we are

Farro is operated by Lorenzo Montes, based in Italy, who is the data controller for the purposes of the GDPR.

3. What stays on your device

Everything you create in Farro:

This is stored in a local database file that belongs to your device's app storage. It is included in your device's own backup if you have one enabled (iCloud or Google), which is between you and your device manufacturer — we are not part of it.
