The feature set was developed from the synthesis of user interviews, persona goals, and the user journey map. Every feature on this list exists because a real user need demanded it โ either as a direct request from an interview participant, a pain point surfaced through research, or a gap identified in the competitive analysis.
Features are organized into four tiers reflecting delivery priority. Core items resolve the highest-priority interventions from the journey map and satisfy all four design principles. Supporting items provide the dashboard context surrounding the core workflow. Foundational items are the platform infrastructure. Future Iteration items are scoped out of this case study but flagged for the next iteration.

FX Repatriation Workflow The central capability: a sequential workflow that guides the middle office user from FCM balance data retrieval through rule-triggered recommendations to trade execution. Fund-strategy rules trigger each recommendation; the AI generates the plain-language rationale; the operator authorizes every action.
Research support: FX repatriation is the core workflow this dashboard was designed to address. Every interview participant surfaced the workflow as a fragmented, manually-managed sequence that no existing tool consolidates.
Sequential CTA Structure Three CTAs in order: Fetch FCM โ Run Analysis โ View Insights. Each button activates only when the preceding step completes. Enforces the workflow's real dependencies at the interaction level rather than allowing out-of-sequence action that produces wrong-but-believable output.
Research support: Journey map surfaced the workflow as a sequence of dependent steps managed across disconnected tools. Sequential CTAs mirror that sequence inside one interface, with dependencies enforced rather than maintained manually.
AI Recommendation Modal with Confidence and Reasoning Modal presenting confidence score (low/medium/high band with percentage), AI-generated reasoning paragraph, data source attribution, and paired Accept/Manual Override buttons of equal visibility. The badges in the Currency Trade Table answer "what action"; the modal answers "why this action."
Research support: All four interview participants named transparency and confidence as conditions for AI adoption. The modal design translates those conditions into a specific interaction โ the operator opens the modal at the moment of decision, sees the reasoning, and authorizes or overrides.
