Travel Guide - Fellnore

Your basic guide to the entire region of Fellnore.

Summary

At first glance, the Fellnorin seem to be some of the most polite individuals in all of Dulora. They never cuss, never resort to violence, and often generously offer their wisdom and knowledge to those in need. But there is more to a rainbow than the sunlight.

Fellnore is a region that holds itself to high standards. Fae races, primarily Elves, take pride in keeping knowledge sacred and safe. Fellnore Keep, the fortress that guards the Grand Library, is protected by many forms of magic. Common people are allowed inside, provided they can safely make the journey through the fierce desert that surrounds the fortress. There are many sections of the library that are not accessible by those without certain marks, however. As much as the people of Fellnore would love to share all knowledge with everyone, they understand the importance of keeping certain knowledge under lock and key. Though, with the extensive amount of knowledge the common person has access to on the first level, most would find it difficult to comb through the entire library in their lifetime before having a chance to think about gaining access to the secret halls of information.

However, the library isn’t all there is to Fellnore. There is also the town of Deysire, where most of the residents of Fellnore can be found. Laws may be strictest in this region compared to the others, but most residents comply with pride. If you plan to travel to this region, take some time to understand the laws of this region so you don’t get in trouble. Thankfully, foreigners and tourists who may accidentally break their rules are offered some forgiveness, and will first be asked to leave before they are apprehended and punished as a citizen who would know better.

Ecology

Landscape

Fellnore is a vast, arid landscape with minimal bodies of water, and sparse vegetation. The terrain sometimes consists of sand dunes, rocky plateaus, and barren expanses. Despite the inherent solitude this land may impart, it is home to some of the most stunning sunsets in the world.

Those who originate from Fellnore are called Fellnorin.

Climate

Fellnore’s climate consists of extreme temperatures, with the occasional threat of sandstorms. It is not often that rain occurs, offering minimal precipitation to the land.

Fauna & Flora

Plants and animals commonly found in a desert region can be found here. Uniquely, there is a region of Fellnore that most wild animals seem to avoid, which is where the Tower of Dreams was built.

Points of Interest

Tower of Dreams

Located in the heart of Deysire, this tower was erected centuries ago as a massive dreamcatcher. At the top of the tower are nets that took three years to weave, and it is said to protect the city from dreams, delusions, and unrealistic ideals that could blind them from true knowledge.

Grand Library

The largest collection of knowledge in all of Dulora, located in Fellnore Keep, is home to many elven races and several varieties of scholars. Mages and researchers alike would gladly trek through the sandy desert and blistering winds just to peruse its isles of lore and wellsprings of information.

Deysire

A massive city in the center of the deserts of Fellnore. Most of Fellnore’s people live within this city, unless they have been exiled to the wastes.

Conglomerates of Deysire

These are designated districts within the city of Deysire that each have their own structure. Examples include the Conglomerate of Faith which is Deysire’s church district, the Conglomerate of the Arcane which presides over scholars and magic in its district, and the Conglomerate of War where Fellnore develops and trains its military personnel.

Exodus Wastes

A region of desert where exiled individuals are sent. This region is known for its extreme changes in weather, walking sand dunes, and beasts of terrible power.
