Edgerun Industries · Kyiv, Ukraine · Full time · $4-6K per month + equity · Draft exemption available

Edgerun's mission is to remove civilization-level physical constraints limiting the human body. We believe a future where humans keep pushing into the unknown is far better than one where we send machines in our place. That starts on the battlefield, doubling what a soldier can carry and how far they can carry it. Read more about our mission here →

Field Engineer

As the Field Engineer, you will run Edgerun's field engineering work in Ukraine. You will keep the world's most advanced powered exoskeleton running in the hands of the units using it, run field tests, troubleshoot and repair units, and turn what happens on the ground into clear, actionable feedback for the engineering team.

You will report to the Country Director and work closely with the international engineering team, making sure the information from the field is clean, current, and organized for engineering.

This is a hands-on role. You should thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, be comfortable making decisions independently, and bring the energy, attitude, and ownership to build a field engineering operation from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Run field testing across customers and military units
• Stay hands-on with testing, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting of electromechanical hardware
• Ensure units are kept operational and technical problems in the field are resolved quickly
• Turn field failures, test results, and user feedback into structured information the engineering team can act on, on a constant basis
• Maintain strong working relationships with customers and military users and follow issues through to resolution
• Decide when to go out in person and when to stay at base, and work with local contacts to run tests quickly
• Keep spares, tools, diagnostic equipment, and the Kyiv field workspace organized and ready
• Build simple processes for testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication
• Work closely with the Country Director and the international engineering team to keep information flowing between the field and engineering
• Take ownership of problems and make fast, practical decisions without waiting for detailed direction
