The Mandate
- All our revenue comes in USD, and most of our creator payments go out in USD. You’ll own the full USD–INR cycle: inbound remittances, documentation, outbound payments, and cutting forex conversion losses at every step.
- You’ll run creator payments and internal payroll every month, calculated, checked, and on time, across hundreds of US-based creators and the internal team.
- You’ll own the contract stack. Client MSAs, creator agreements, vendor and tooling terms. Redlines, renewals, and knowing what we actually signed up to.
- You’ll manage our CA and CS firms. Push them, catch their errors, keep us on top of GST, TDS, FEMA, ROC filings, and anything else carrying a date.
- You’ll keep the entity clean: statutory registers, insurance, trademarks, and the compliance calendar nobody else is watching.
- You’ll identify cost leaks, where to park liquid money, and how to mitigate bank commissions.
The Persona
This is not an accounting seat. Money, contracts, and the entity sit with one person. You spot errors in external work, push back on senior advisors, and treat precision as a standard rather than an aspiration.
The work is invisible when it goes right. Nobody notices a filing that landed on time or a clause that never became a problem.
You will hold company accounts, contracts, and payment access. Discretion is a condition of the job, not a courtesy.
The Bar
Our criteria are unapologetically narrow.
- Technical depth: You can audit the work of a CA or CS firm and tell them where they’re wrong. How you got there matters less than that you can. A CA, CPA, or ACCA, completed or in progress, is a strong signal but not a requirement.
- Experience: 1–3 years managing cross-border capital flows, treasury, transaction advisory, or financial risk in high-growth startups or top-tier execution-heavy firms.
- Contract literacy: You’ve read commercial contracts closely enough to find the clause that costs money two years later. Not a lawyer, but not dependent on one for every question.
Why This Role
You sit in the Founder’s Office. Finance, compliance, and contracts all run through you, and you work with the founder directly on all three. You will have a mandate to ruthlessly guard our margins and optimize global cash flows. Owning this level of structural exposure will build more operational maturity in 12 months than traditional firms offer in half a decade.
