Context:
ABC Co. operates on a linear supply chain:
Brand → Warehouse → Store → Customer
Inventory tracking relies on EAN codes. However, regular and promotional items share the same EAN, making it difficult to differentiate and leading to:
- Inventory mismatches
- Order fulfillment errors
- Poor customer experience
Pain Points
- Non-differentiated Scanning: Warehouses use EAN-only scanning which can’t distinguish promo bundles.
- Manual Dependencies: Staff rely on memory/docs for promo inclusion → high error probability.
- Inconsistent Restocking: Promo items often missed during store order fulfillment.
- Customer Discrepancy: Misalignment between system expectations and actual delivered bundles.
This project showcases my ability to:
✅ Navigate operational bottlenecks
✅ Design scalable inventory solutions
✅ Align cross-functional teams (category, warehouse, tech)
✅ Execute structured pilots with measurable outcomes
Proposed Solution: Promo SKU Labeling System
Introduce a promo SKU overlay system that doesn’t replace existing EAN infrastructure
- Creating temporary promo SKUs for bundles offers
