We spent years operating as solvers inside DeFi's trade supply chain; the layer of auctions, routers, and aggregators that decides how your swap actually gets executed. We saw every dirty trick: MEV extraction, stale-price sniping, opaque OTC spreads, latency arms races that traders and LPs ultimately pay for.

So we built the exchange we wished existed.

Before Turbine, we open-sourced two pieces of infrastructure: Tycho, a DEX indexer with native Rust simulation that lets anyone read and simulate all on-chain AMM liquidity at solver speed, and Fynd, an open-source DEX router that produces trustless, verifiable quotes.

Tycho indexes Uniswap V2/V3/V4, Balancer, Curve, and dozens more protocols across Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, BNB, and Unichain. Fynd now routes through PropAMMs (FermiSwap, BopAMM, LunarBase, Metric) alongside traditional AMM liquidity.

Both are MIT-licensed public goods and part of the foundation Turbine is built on.

Fynd is live inside Turbine. Fynd and APEX (the batch solver) solve orders in parallel and settle with the one that gives the better price.

About Turbine

Turbine is a private orderbook on Ethereum where orders track the market rather than being fixed at a price; all actions are delayed by ~12 seconds so nobody can snipe anyone, and trades settle in batches at a single, uniform price.

The founding insight is that most people moving size don't care about speed; they care about cost. Turbine trades latency away and gives the savings back.

Spread Orders replace fixed limit prices with a spread from the mid-price. Orders surf the market; they can live for hours or days and never go stale. Spreads can be negative: you only trade at a price better than the mid. Patient traders get better prices than on any DEX.

The Speedbump delays every action by ~12 seconds. The oracle reprices everything after you commit but before your order executes. The latency arms race becomes pointless.

The TEE makes the orderbook invisible to everyone, including us. Orders are private and cryptographically verifiable.

Settlement tries three sources: peer-to-peer matches first (zero spread, zero fees), Turbine's own LP pools second, and all of DeFi's external liquidity last. Whatever gives you the best price wins.

The role

You'll join a small frontend team (currently 1 engineer + 1 designer) building the Turbine trading interface at app.turbine.exchange. This isn't a CRUD app with a blockchain integration bolted on. You'll own the experience for a novel exchange mechanism, pricing models, order state machines, wallet auth, real-time data flows, and work directly with the protocol and design teams.
