The primary part of the Genetics System are the genes themselves. These are semi-unique attributes that some mobs have, and some specific mobs have more unique ones that apply physical changes in xenomorphs.
Negative Gene - Reduction of the genes chosen attribute. (Eg, move speed.)
Positive Gene - Increase of the genes chosen attribute. (Eg, Attack damage.)
Basic Genes.
Basic genes are Genes that can be found in majority of mobs, and apply a very minimal effect or lack unique abilities.
Move Speed. - Move speed is a gene that most mobs will have in affect, however some may not in favour of more unique genes. Move Speed increases or decreases the rate at which mobs travel aka their blocks per second.
Max Health. - Whilst not every mob provides it, max health increases the total hearts a mob will have. Negative Max Health gene will reduce the max hp of a mob, and the opposite is the
Knockback Resistance. - Every mob has an innate knockback resistance, whilst in positive it will decrease the amount of knockback that effects them and in negatives will make knockback send them further. For example, Immovable gives the target 100% knockback resistance which renders them unable to be effected by knockback in ANY form.
Attack Damage. - Every mob deals attack damage in some form even without them being inherently hostile. Strains that have their Attack damage increased result in their attacks from all sources dealing more overall damage. For example, an attack that would usually deal 4 hearts would now deal 6 hearts through x amount of Attack Damage gene.
Cold Resistance. - Cold Resistance prevents mobs from being affected through cold sources of damage like Powdered snow and Snowballs. (Including from snow golems.) Due to it being an overall source, it (theoretically) should be compatible with other mobs that add cold sources of damage.
Fire Resistance. - Fire Resistance prevents mobs from being ignited, or affected by “hot blocks” like magma, alongside decreasing the damage dealt by flames. Strains that gain more of this gene become more resistant to flames, lava and magma damage sources but as it decreases may take more damage over all.
Thorns. - Thorns, whilst usually an enchantment is a mobs own ability to reflect damage back onto attackers, or apply damage to attackers who harm them. Strains that get Thorns will cause any damage applied to them from any source result in the attacker being harmed back. As the gene increases so does the damage and the rate of it occurring.
