New to Stand-Up? Start Here!

First-timer steps (simple)

  1. Watch a couple open mics (as many as you need until you “get” the format).

  2. Write 3–5 minutes and time it.

  3. Show up early.

  4. Have fun, be kind, and don’t run the light.

  5. Come back next week.

Comedy is chaos — but show up on time and you’ll already be in the top 50%.
