Guardian is a Chrome extension that helps users manage their daily screen time on self-selected websites.

Data We Collect

Guardian stores the following data locally on your device only: images you choose to upload, time spent on your tracked websites, your chosen settings and preferences, and your daily streak count.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not operate any servers. We do not collect, transmit, or store any data outside your own browser. We do not track your browsing history. We do not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties under any circumstances. We have no ability to access any of your personal information.

Everything Guardian stores lives entirely in Chrome's local storage on your own device. Uninstalling Guardian permanently removes all stored data.

Permissions

Guardian uses the tabs, storage, alarms, scripting, idle, and host permissions solely to detect active tabs on your chosen sites, track elapsed time locally, and display an overlay when your limit is reached. No data from these permissions leaves your device.
