Quarrying can be an expensive and difficult task for players, and as a result this guide is in place to help players regarding FAQ and overall tips in regards to Quarries.
How do I begin my Quarry?
- You can start your Quarry through first building a Quarry Terminal. This device requires constant power to be provided especially when actively mining. Additionally, it has two ports that allow you to connect more storage blocks and fluid tanks.
- Quarries themselves require Quarry Frames. Whilst not too expensive, you’ll need a lot as every chunk requires 152 Quarry Frames.
Why isn’t my Quarry mining?
- It might not be mining for a few notable reasons. For one, there may be an active Xeno hive too close by or laid claim to chunks that were set for mining. Additionally it may be out of power, its storage of items or fluid full or an actual on-going bug. If none of these can be identified and something else is occurring please let the devs know.
How do i get the USCM and Weyland-Yutani versions??
- These are cosmetic reskins of both the Quarry Terminal and Quarry itself gathered by using a Fabricator with the correct Fabricator Licences. Mechanically nothing changes but they’re cool!
What are these weird glowing frames?
- When placing down a Quarry Terminal, these show the player chunk borders without having to use f3+g to check. Additionally it shows exactly where you can place the Quarry Terminal (adjacent to the chunk and facing it.) When referring to the Quarry itself, containment fields keep liquid blocks inside temporary “cages” to prevent them from flowing whilst mining is on-going.
