You do not need a perfect plan. You need a clear next step.

Time-blocking is choosing when each task gets a place before the day gets noisy. Give your important work, care, and rest a clear home, then let the plan support you.

Your Colour Code

Use the same colours in your weekly planner and your digital calendar. The goal is to see where your energy is going in one quick look. Choose whatever colours or alternative labels you desire for each category.

Example:

Colour Category Use it for things like
Soft blue Focus Work Hours, Study, Meetings
Warm yellow Admin Emails, booking + attending appointments, errands, organising your workspace
Sage green Care Self Improvement, exercise class, gym, walk, meal prep
Blush pink Connection Friend meet ups, family events, dates with your partner
Lavender Rest & reset Sleep, reading, watching the ocean, doing a craft or low-focus hobby, taking a bath. This does NOT included scrolling time - that actually drains you

How To Time-Block On The Weekly Template

  1. Start with your Focus Blocks - the things which are already fixed
  2. Add in your Care Blocks - this is the time for self improvement
  3. Add in your Admin Blocks - these are the things that have to be done but you try cram in or put off completely
  4. Add in your Connection Blocks - these are the socially connected times of your week
  5. Add in your Rest & Reset Blocks - these are those rejuvenate, genuinely restful times.

Remember:

Care and Rest & Reset, are just as important as the other blocks, do not disregard them.

The beauty of time-blocking is that it dedicates time for these essential moments, removing any guilt around resting or risking burning yourself out.
