Overview
Halochrome ("the Application", "we", "our", or "us") is developed with an uncompromising commitment to user privacy. We believe that your creative work, personal photographs, and device telemetry belong exclusively to you.
Halochrome operates as a fully offline, on-device application. We do not collect, transmit, store, sell, or monetize your personal information or photographic content.
1. Information Collection and Processing
1.1 Zero Data Collection Architecture
- Halochrome does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, physical address, phone number, or device identifiers.
- We do not require you to create an account, register, or log in to use the Application.
- The Application contains no server infrastructure, telemetry endpoints, or cloud backends.
1.2 Photographic Content and Files
- All photographs, raw sensor buffers, preview frames, and custom style recipes created, edited, or viewed within Halochrome are processed strictly on your physical device using Apple Metal hardware acceleration.
- Your photos and files never leave your device through Halochrome. We have no access to your photographs, metadata, or editing choices.
2. Device Permissions and Usage
To deliver its core photographic functionality, Halochrome requests specific iOS system permissions. Each permission is utilized solely for its explicit purpose:
2.1 Camera Access (NSCameraUsageDescription)
- Purpose: Provides access to the device camera hardware to present a live optical viewfinder and capture photographs.
- Processing: Camera image buffers are passed directly to local on-device Metal shaders for real-time film style rendering. No video or audio feeds are recorded in the background or transmitted over any network.
2.2 Photo Library Access (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription and NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription)
