If you’re new to design or new to AI tools, here’s the short version of what this article is about: there’s a way to give Claude (an AI assistant) access to a massive library of real app screens, over 600,000 of them, so that when it helps you design something, it’s not just guessing what “good design” looks like. It’s looking at how real products actually solved the same problem first.

This guide walks through exactly how to set that connection up, one screenshot at a time, and then what to actually do with it once it’s working. No prior experience with AI tools or design tools required, we’ll define terms as we go.

First, three quick definitions

Before the walkthrough, three words you’ll see a lot:

With that out of the way, here’s how to actually connect them.

🔮 Set up the connection, step by step

Step 1: Log into Mobbin

Go to Mobbin’s website and make sure you’re signed into your account. You’ll know you’re logged in when you see your name and account options in the top-right corner instead of a “Sign in” button

Notice the menu that appears when you click your account: options like Set up profile, Request content, Give feedback and importantly “Settings.” That Settings link is where we’re headed.
