This is the simple workflow I used to turn ChatGPT into a financial admin assistant: connect the accounts, review the last 12 months, surface recurring charges and weird spend, turn the findings into an action tracker, and delegate the cleanup.

Current availability: Finances in ChatGPT is available in the U.S. to Plus and Pro users on web, iOS, and Android, with a gradual rollout. If you do not see it yet, your account may not have access yet.

The 8-step workflow

1. Open Finances in ChatGPT

Go to Finances in ChatGPT and select Get started.

You can also type:

@Finances, connect my accounts

The goal is to give ChatGPT enough of your real financial context to see recurring charges across the places you actually spend money.

2. Connect the accounts that matter through Plaid

Select Connect with Plaid, sign in to your financial institutions, and choose the accounts you want ChatGPT to use.

Consider connecting the accounts where recurring spending happens:

Tip: If you use separate personal and business cards, connecting both can help uncover duplicate subscriptions that are hitting different accounts.

Wait for the accounts to sync before doing a deep historical review. Check that the accounts you expected to connect are actually showing.

3. Start with the Subscriptions view — but do not stop there
