You had a plan. It was a good plan. Everybody knew what they were doing, nothing unexpected was going to happen, and this whole adventure was going to go just fine.
Then somebody flipped a coin.
CHANGE OF PLANS is a tiny, rules-light, system-agnostic tabletop RPG for telling big, weird stories without a big pile of rules getting in the way. Grab three coins, describe your character in one sentence, and you're basically ready to play.
Flip coins when things get risky, lose them when things go badly, and earn them back by embracing your flaws. Play fantasy, horror, sci-fi, office drama, or whatever other nonsense you can come up with.
You'll need a GM, one or more players, and 3 coins per player. The GM should have a few extra coins for tracking things during the game.
One person is the GM, who describes the world and plays everyone in it. Everyone else controls a character.
That's about it.
Describe yourself in one sentence:
[TRAIT] [IDENTITY] [ROLE] who [FLAW].
TRAIT: What you're like.
IDENTITY: What you are.
ROLE: What you do.
FLAW: What gets you in trouble.
