How do I erase it?

This is our most frequently asked question. On coated surfaces, you can erase the ink with a wet wipe before it dries, or with an alcohol prep pad once it has dried. For alcohol to work effectively, the concentration must be at least 65%. You can also use Bio Clean Col. (Beverages with low alcohol content, such as soju, will not work.)

Please note that ink cannot be removed from uncoated (porous) surfaces or fabrics.

How long does one PLiCO marker last?

Additionally, worn tips can easily be replaced so you can maintain a clean line without buying a whole new marker.

The pen color comes out faint!

If stored vertically or left unused for a long time, the ink may look faint. If this happens, shake the bottle thoroughly to remix the water and pigment. Then, pump the nib a few times to get the ink flowing, and your marker will return to its original vibrant color.

  1. Shake until you hear the mixing balls rattle inside (always shake with the cap facing up).
  2. If you don't hear the balls, tap the bottle firmly against a table. The mixing balls might be trapped in the acrylic resin powder.
  3. Press the nib against a surface a few times until ink matching the bottle color flows through, flushing out any diluted ink at the tip.
  4. Now your Plico marker is ready to deliver vivid, rich color just like when it was brand new.

How can I maximize the lifespan of my PLiCO markers?

Due to the nature of acrylic markers, we recommend storing them horizontally rather than vertically. This keeps the ink in continuous contact with the nib to prevent drying. Just like acrylic paint hardens when exposed to air, markers can dry out if left open. Always recap immediately after use. If you store them for extended periods, pump the nib occasionally to keep it moist and ready to use.

If a tip happens to dry out completely, you can simply replace it with a fresh nib to keep using your marker.
