Ideate turned the personas and their journeys into concrete navigation. Rather than designing pages and hoping users would find their way, the flows started from intent — who arrives, what they want, and what a successful visit looks like for each of them.
Three flows map one architecture: a discovery path (Maya), a research path (Samuel), and a stakeholder-evaluation path for the estate reviewing the exhibition plan. Mapping them did two jobs — it stress-tested the information architecture (a flow that needs a workaround exposes an IA gap), and it made tradeoffs visible, so every design decision became attributable to the user it serves.
The flows converged on two high-stakes components: the homepage and the artwork detail page, where all paths cross and the architecture has to serve discovery, research, and evaluation at once.

Why flows, not pages. Documenting by intent rather than page sequence revealed that the same page serves different purposes depending on who arrives — the design argument for dual-mode architecture rather than a single linear site.
The convergence finding. The artwork detail page is where all three users land, reading it differently: emotional viewing (Maya), metadata verification (Samuel), curatorial assessment (Estate). That made it the most heavily designed component in the system — image-first, short interpretation, expandable depth — because no other page carries this much weight.
