Identity Atlas is designed as a local-first digital account archive. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, where that information is stored and the choices available to you.
Identity Atlas allows you to enter information about your digital accounts, including:
This information is provided voluntarily by you and is used only to provide the app’s account organization, relationship, security review, search, statistics and backup features.
Your account archive is stored in the app’s local database on your device. Identity Atlas does not require an Identity Atlas account and does not send your archive to a developer-operated server.
Sensitive login identity values, recovery contact values and optional saved passwords are encrypted before they are written to the local database. The device encryption key is stored using the iOS Keychain. Other profile metadata, such as platform names, categories, status and dates, may be stored locally without field-level encryption.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, device passcode and backup passwords.
If you enable biometric app lock, Identity Atlas asks iOS to authenticate you using Face ID, Touch ID or another supported system method. Biometric templates and biometric measurements are managed by iOS. Identity Atlas receives only the success or failure result and does not receive, store or transmit your biometric data.
Identity Atlas can create a password-protected .accountbackup file. The backup contains your local archive and the data key required to restore its encrypted fields. The complete backup payload is encrypted using the password you choose.
When you export a backup, the iOS share sheet lets you choose a destination. Identity Atlas does not automatically upload the file. If you choose a third-party storage, messaging or sharing service, that service’s privacy policy and security practices apply after the file leaves the app.
