My model won't open. Confirm the file extension matches one of the six supported formats above. Very large files (tens of megabytes) can take noticeably longer to parse — give it a few seconds before assuming it's stuck, especially on older devices.
Can I load more than one model at once? Yes — use the "Add Mesh" button in the Meshes tab to load additional files alongside what's already open. Each one gets its own visibility, wireframe, opacity, and color controls.
A model has multiple parts — can I control them separately? For GLB/glTF and OBJ files with multiple named parts, the mesh's row in the Meshes tab shows an expand arrow revealing each part with its own visibility, wireframe, and opacity controls.
Why can't I recolor my PLY file? PLY files that carry their own per-vertex color data (common for 3D scans) always display those embedded colors — the color picker is intentionally disabled for those meshes since it wouldn't change anything.
How do I measure or slice a model? Open the Tools tab and select Measure to tap two points and read the distance, or Cross Section to drag a 3D gimbal through the model and see the live cut contour.
Do my settings and files get uploaded anywhere? No. Inspectra has no account system and no server — everything runs locally on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.
