In Egypt, citizens seeking to report corruption, systemic issues, or public misconduct have severely limited options. Currently, the primary official avenue is shakwa.eg, which often lacks transparency and deters users who fear retaliation. The only other common alternative is resorting to social media—a highly non-ideal and risky approach that lacks structure, exposes the user’s identity, and rarely leads to official accountability.

Our Solution (Overview)

Sawtak bridges this gap by providing a highly secure, privacy-first whistleblowing platform. We empower citizens to report misconduct safely by offering a system with absolute cryptographic guarantees of data integrity and anonymity. With Sawtak, whistleblowers can finally speak up and hold institutions accountable without fear of exposure or retaliation.

Goals

• Absolute Privacy: Protect user identity through advanced network segregation, payload anonymization, and robust cryptographic encryption.
• Immutability & Accountability: Utilize a dedicated blockchain network to guarantee that submitted complaints cannot be altered, censored, or deleted.
• Data Integrity: Store evidence securely using decentralized storage (IPFS) to keep evidence immutable and decentralized and secure object storage (Cloudflare R2) for normal identified complaints’ evidence files.
• Feed Quality: Leverage AI to automatically filter out spam, advertisements, and invalid content before it hits the network.
