The issue we need to solve is simple:
- Aquire New Users
- Without Spending Money/Paying for things like Marketing
The main issue with Lovable isn’t that they are lacking customers. The main issue is that they lack a foundational base where their users can continuously create new sites with ease that bring in customers automatically rather than their current system of manual users.
- Paid Acquisition is not compoundable. The moment the company stops spending growth will drop to zero. These methods are extremely inefficient in a financial and communal perspective. They should aim efforts into Search Engine Optimization that is more reliable and measurable compared to word of mouth. Has a bigger spread to new users and surface area of potential.
- Their current model works on the basis that every user requires paid acquisition and effort to bring customers in. Growth depends on these current techniques:
- Word of Mouth
- Paid Ads
- Manual Outreach
This makes it extremely difficult to scale as every user requires spending and effort.
- Without a community network effect companies often:
- see 70–90% churn (cancels of plans) within the first year
- Community-driven platforms retain 2–3× longer because users form habits and relationships
If users are unable to build publicly or interact with others they feel singularity that cause lost users. So if Lovable is losing users they are in a constant loop where they have to make up for the lost users with more paid acquisition. Lovable needs change.
- Lack of community / creator ecosystem that leads to lack of discovery
- Lovable needs a system where users have a system that they continuously rely on
- Have constant supply of new designs that fit different needs at different times
