Ocean Labs is building infrastructure for mental healthcare.
We’re starting with a matching platform that makes it easier for people to find the right mental health care and supports clinicians in building sustainable practices without sacrificing how they work.
We believe clients and clinicians are dealing with two sides of the same problem: clients struggle to find the right care, and clinicians struggle to connect with the right clients. Our goal is to create better experiences for both the people seeking care and the professionals providing it.
Finding a therapist is unlike most decisions people make online. People are choosing someone they’ll trust with some of the most personal parts of their lives, yet most platforms still approach that process as a search problem rather than a fit problem.
Ocean takes a matching-first approach. Clients and clinicians complete intakes that help us understand not only what someone is looking for, but also how they communicate, what they value in a therapist, and the factors that may contribute to therapeutic fit. The goal is to facilitate stronger introductions and give both sides a better starting point for their own informed decisions.
Matching is our starting point, not our final vision. Over time, we plan to build tools that make mental health care easier to access, easier to navigate, and easier to sustain—while preserving clinician autonomy.
Ocean Labs is still in its early stages. We’re a small team with a big mission, bringing together experience in mental health, technology, and product design to build something that has a real impact on people’s lives.
We want to create technology that supports clinicians rather than creating more work for them. We do not replace clinical judgment, tell clinicians how to practice, employ clinicians, or participate in clinical care.
Everything we build is guided by a simple principle: make it easier for the right people to connect with the right care.
