Don’t just read the recipe - bake the bread!

What’s the point of saying you care if you never actually help anyone? This message looks at the difference between just talking about love and actually living it out in real life. Through simple stories and examples, it challenges you to ask if your actions really match what you say you believe—and shows practical ways you can start showing real love to people around you this week.

Daily Devotions

Day 1 – Faith Is More Than Words

Key Scripture:

“Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

— James 2:17 (NIV)

Faith is not just saying, “I believe in God.” James says if faith has no actions, it is dead. The sermon used the picture of a recipe: reading a recipe doesn’t bake bread. You must follow the steps.

In the same way, just hearing the Bible is not enough. Real faith affects how you live, love, and handle your emotions. Emotional and spiritual health means you bring your real feelings to God and still choose to obey Him.

Reflect:

Pray:

Jesus, I want living faith, not dead faith. Help me be honest with You and obey You in my daily life. Amen.

Day 2 – Love That Listens

Key Scripture:

“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
