What is Kickbacks?

Kickbacks.ai replaces the "thinking…" line in Claude Code with a short sponsored line while the AI works. Advertisers bid for that space; you get a real 50/50 revenue split — no "up to" fine print. They've already paid out $51,284+ to developers and served 100,000,000+ ads.

You change nothing about how you code. The ad only appears during genuine wait-states, and you earn for the time it's actually on screen.

What you need

• VS Code with the Claude Code extension installed (Codex extension also supported; Cursor is not)
• A Google account to sign in
• For payouts: a country supported by Stripe Connect — check the list. Your balance accrues either way.
• Note: best on Windows / Linux. macOS works but isn't officially supported yet (occasional Keychain prompts).

Install (2 minutes)

Option A — Marketplace (easiest):

1. Open VS Code → Extensions tab (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + X)
2. Search "kickbacks"
3. Hit Install → reload the window
