When Host Hunting Parties are sent out to the surface to look for hosts, drones, runners and even warriors can be seen physically grabbing mobs before taking them to a Resin Vent. Once at the vent, they’ll send the mob inside where another drone or runner will take them to a Hosting Chamber hive room.

Players can be kidnapped however it requires them to be on low HP. On average, players need to be 3-5 hearts before a Drone or Runner can take them into the hive to be hosted.

Whilst this process is interruptible, it doesn’t change much unless you’re attempting to save for example one of your pets that a Runner or Drone snatched.
