Kite AI is a local-first AI app designed to keep your conversations, model usage, and generated content on your device whenever possible.

Information Kite AI stores

• Conversation history you choose to keep in the app.
• Models you download or import to your device.
• System prompt, preferences, and your chosen display name.
• Images you generate with the app on supported devices.

How your data is used

Kite AI uses your saved data only to operate core app features such as:

• continuing conversations,
• switching between models,
• storing generated images locally,
• remembering your preferences, and
• personalizing responses with the display name you provide.

On-device processing

Kite AI is built to run AI tasks on-device whenever supported by the selected model or Apple system capability. Conversations and generated content are intended to remain on your device unless you choose to export, share, or download content from a third-party source.

Model downloads and third-party sources

Kite AI may allow you to download or import third-party AI models, including models hosted by services such as Hugging Face. When you choose to download a model from a third-party source, your device connects directly to that source. Their own terms, privacy practices, and availability may apply.
