Privacy Policy

Lifted ("the App") is operated by Lars Erickson ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

1. Lifted uses:
   • Your name, provided through Sign in with Apple, used as your display name (we do not request or store your email address)
   • Your Sign in with Apple user identifier, and a short shareable friend code derived for your account
   • Your workout log (exercises, sets, weights, reps, timed activities, and notes you enter)
   • Your training goal, if you choose to write one
   • App settings you configure (for example your avatar glyph and color)
2. Lifted uses this information only to provide core app functionality, including:
   • Recording and displaying your workout history, trends, and recaps
   • Syncing your workout log across your own devices
   • Letting friends you have accepted see that you worked out on a given date
   • Finding and confirming friends by friend code
   • Including your training goal in exports you choose to create
3. Your workout log is private
   • Your workout log and training goal are stored on your device and synced through your own private iCloud account.
   • This private data is not accessible to us. We cannot read your exercises, weights, reps, or training goal.
   • Your training goal is never published to other users.
4. What friends can see
   • When you work out, Lifted publishes a minimal "worked out" record containing only your display name, avatar, and the date, plus an optional streak or workout count.
   • This record never contains exercise names, weights, reps, notes, or your training goal.
   • Only people you have accepted as friends see these records. Friend connections require a request that the other person approves.
   • You may remove or block a friend at any time, which stops them from appearing in your feed.
5. Data Storage and Sharing
   • Lifted stores data on your device and in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). Apple processes this data as part of providing iCloud; see Apple's privacy policy for details.
   • We do not sell your personal data.
   • We do not use advertising or analytics services, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
   • We may disclose information only if required by law.
6. Exports: Lifted can export your workout log and training goal as a JSON file when you choose to do so. The file is created on your device and shared only through the destination you select (for example Files, Messages, or another app). We never receive a copy. Once you share an export with a third-party service, that service's privacy policy applies.
7. Sign in with Apple: An account is required only for the social features. Signing in creates a public profile containing your display name, avatar, and friend code so friends can find you.
8. Data Retention: Your workout log is retained on your device and in your private iCloud account until you remove it, for example by deleting entries or deleting the app. You may also delete your public profile and published workout records to leave the social features entirely.
9. Children's Privacy: Lifted is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to This Policy: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted at the support/privacy URL.
