These terms apply to the Local Bodpa mobile app, its web version, and related services. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. The Privacy Policy below explains how information is handled.
Local Bodpa is a community directory and information service. It helps people explore Tibetan settlements, places, services, community guides, events, calendar observances, and announcements. Some information comes from contributors, public sources, organizers, and third parties. We review contributions before publication, but information can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Listings are not endorsements or guarantees of quality, safety, availability, price, accessibility, or eligibility.
Dates, times, venues, opening hours, prices, routes, contact details, eligibility rules, and other information can change without Local Bodpa receiving notice. Events may be changed, postponed, or cancelled. Notifications and calendar entries are reminders, not confirmation that an event is happening. Confirm important details directly with the organizer, provider, or official source before traveling, spending money, or making plans. Check official authorities for permits, travel restrictions, immigration requirements, health and safety guidance, and other rules; Local Bodpa is not an official authority or emergency service. If you need urgent help, contact local emergency services.
You may use the service for lawful, personal or organizational information purposes. Do not disrupt it, bypass its security or rate limits, scrape it at a scale that harms availability, impersonate others, submit spam or knowingly false or misleading information, or use it to harass, deceive, or violate anyone's rights. Do not use names, phone numbers, or other public contact details in Local Bodpa for unsolicited marketing, stalking, harassment, or impersonation. Do not rely on a listing or announcement as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional or the responsible organizer or authority.
Public browsing does not require a visitor account. Administrator access is restricted to invited people and must not be shared or misused. We may limit access or remove content when reasonably needed to protect users, rights holders, the service, or to comply with law.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the service with a parent or guardian's permission where required. Do not submit a child's personal information without appropriate authority.
You can suggest listings, events, corrections, reports, guides, photos, and supporting material through available forms. You are responsible for making a reasonable effort to provide truthful, current information and for having the rights and permissions needed to share it with us for review and, if approved, publication. Do not submit confidential material, another person's private contact details without a valid reason and permission, unlawful or defamatory content, or images of people where you lack permission to publish them. A report or suggestion does not automatically change public content.
You keep any rights you have in your contribution. By submitting it, you give Jamyang Nima permission to store, copy, format, crop or resize, review, verify, and use it to operate Local Bodpa. For material approved for public display, this permission includes displaying and distributing it through the service and related service previews while it remains published. This permission is worldwide, nonexclusive, and royalty-free. You confirm you can grant it. We may edit for clarity and consistency, decline, remove, or correct a contribution. You can request removal or correction at [email protected]; for a listing, include its name, community, and the reason for your request. We will review the request, including any rights of others or legal duties. Uninstalling the app or stopping use does not automatically remove content already published or records held by the service. Submission does not guarantee publication, attribution, or continued display.
Phone notifications are optional. You can use the Updates inbox without enabling them. Delivery depends on your device, connectivity, push providers, and app settings; a notice may be late or missed. Changing your selected Local community changes which future community alerts are relevant after synchronization, but the service cannot guarantee immediate delivery or retargeting while offline.
Local Bodpa may open third-party maps, websites, phone, email, calendar, sharing, or organizer services when you choose those actions. Listed providers and organizers operate independently of Local Bodpa; their services and transactions are separate, and their own terms apply. Some features require a compatible device or an internet connection and may not be available in every region. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, content, or access to maintain or improve the service.
The app's design, software, branding, and original material belong to Jamyang Nima or the relevant licensors. Third-party names, photos, maps, source material, and contributor content remain subject to their owners' rights and any applicable licenses or attribution. These terms give you a limited, revocable permission to use the service as intended; they do not transfer ownership of its content or software. You may share ordinary links or use built-in sharing features, subject to the rights attached to the material.
